Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of spending Easter at Nine Ladies in Matlock, and it proved to be an exceptional getaway nestled in the heart of a charming village. The accommodation is conveniently located with easy parking outside, making our arrival hassle-free-a must for adventure travelers like myself who appreciate starting off on the right foot. I absolutely adored the quirky layout of the chapel; while the bedrooms were downstairs, the upstairs open-plan living area created a perfect hangout spot for my fiancé and me to unwind after exploring the stunning nearby landscapes. Though we encountered a bit of a learning curve with the ensuite shower temperature, there was no shortage of hot water, which was a blessing after a day of hiking. The stylish decor and comfortable furnishings enhanced our stay, making it a lovely base for visiting local attractions like Alton Towers and the expansive Clumber Park. Nine Ladies offered the ideal balance of relaxation and adventure-highly recommended for any traveler looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.
